Why Wetmore calls us
Wetmore sits just outside Munising at the junction of M-28 and M-94, in Alger County. It is close enough to our base in Au Train that we can normally get there quickly.
Properties here run larger and more wooded than they do in town, and they usually come with outbuildings. Garages, sheds, and pole barns are the structures that get overlooked until something is already nesting in them. Carpenter ants and mice are the two we treat most in Wetmore, and we check the outbuildings rather than only the house.
On the ground here
Tree cover close to the house gives carpenter ants a bridge to it. We trace the trail back to the nest, treat the colony, and point out the branches and damp wood that keep the route open.
A shed or garage that stands unused for a season becomes the nesting site for mice, wasps, and spiders. We treat them alongside the house, because leaving them out means the problem simply walks back over.
Wasps and hornets build in eaves, soffits, and the corners of open structures. We remove nests safely and treat the surfaces so they do not rebuild in the same spot next summer.
