Rodents

Treated by our Rodent Control

How We Treat Rodents

When the UP cold arrives, mice and rats push indoors for warmth and food, where they contaminate, chew, and multiply quickly. (Rodent control is one of our added services beyond the bed-bug specialty.)

What they look like

House mice are small and gray-brown with large ears and a slender tail; rats are larger and heavier-bodied with a thick, long tail.

Behavior & biology

Rodents are prolific breeders and mostly nocturnal. They nest in wall voids, attics, and crawlspaces, and squeeze in through surprisingly small gaps; a mouse needs an opening barely the size of a dime.

Signs of a problem

Droppings, gnaw marks, greasy rub marks along walls and baseboards, shredded nesting material, and scratching or scurrying sounds at night.

Why they’re a problem

Rodents contaminate food and surfaces, can spread disease, and chew through wiring, a real fire hazard.

Keep them out
